Our tour begins from the city of León, we pass by your hotel with our driver and guide in our 4x4. The recommended departure time is 8 a.m. during the summer and 5 a.m. during the rainy season.

On the way to the volcano El Hoyo you can appreciate the fields, rural area and yucca plantations common in the region. Upon arrival at the natural reserve, you will have the possibility to use the bathrooms and you will also have to sign in the visitor's book.

The hike to the top of the volcano El Hoyo lasts approximately 3 hours and it is necessary to have good physical condition. You will be able to appreciate beautiful panoramic views while ascending as well as the flora and fauna. Our guide will accompany you on this extreme adventure. Upon reaching the top you will have time to eat, take a break, take photos and appreciate the wonderful panoramic view.

The descent to the lagoon lasts approximately 4 hours and after this extensive tour you can rest, bathe and swim in the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon El Tigre. Our 4x4 vehicle will pick you up and you can return to León in an hour's journey. This is a full-day tour and at least 5 liters of water per person are recommended.
