The Experience

This tour starts in the city of León. Our private transport will pick you up directly from your hotel at the agreed time (we recommend 11:00 a.m.).

We then drive to the base of the volcano where the hike begins. The ascent has a moderate difficulty level and takes approximately 3 hours.

During the hike you will enjoy beautiful volcanic landscapes, dry tropical vegetation and wide views over the region of León.

Once at the top, we set up the camp near the active crater of the volcano. From here you can enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets in Nicaragua.

In the evening we share a local dinner, light a campfire, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the volcano while watching a sky full of stars.

The next morning we serve a local breakfast before starting the descent and returning to the city of León.

Important Information

During the hike, participants only need to carry their water and personal belongings.

All camping equipment, including tents, sleeping bags and meals, is transported by our team and served directly at the campsite on the volcano, so you can enjoy the experience comfortably.

We recommend bringing 4 liters of water per person, sunscreen and appropriate hiking clothes.
